Off the Record Chenin Blanc: The Uncensored Version – a project of heart and passion by Bobby Wallace.

This is the eighth vintage, produced from a small parcel of Chenin Blanc grapes sourced from within the coolclimate district of Elgin. Chenin Blanc is something of a rarity in Elgin and 2025 being a very low cropping year with only 2900 bottles of the Off the Record Chenin Blanc 2025 were produced.

TASTING NOTE
The wine has an attractive pale straw colour. The nose leads with appealing citrus notes, which unfold onto the palate with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. The broad spectrum of citrus, underlying minerality and gentle wooding have contributed to the complexity of this Chenin Blanc and culminate in a long lingering finish.

VINIFICATION
Wild ferment and barrel aged for 10 months in a mixture of 1st fill (10%), 2nd, 3rd & 4th fill barriques. The wine underwent partial malolactic fermentation in barrel. No added enzymes, yeast and fining agents were used in the making of this wine.
