Stellenbosch Vineyards, Credo Shiraz 2023

(1 review)

Stellenbosch Vineyards are a leading producer and exporter, based in Stellenbosch; they have received a huge amount of international and domestic acclaim for their range of wines.

They operate as a negociant, sourcing their grapes from only the best locations across the Western Cape.

Berries were crushed by hand for this Shiraz, fermented in small bins, and then aged in French Oak for 24 months, to soften the wine and add complexity.

Deep purple in the glass, with notes of spice, mulberry fruit, liquorice and coconut. Soft, ripe and rich on the palate, with fine tannins and excellent structure. Enjoy immediately or up to 10 years from vintage.

“Nothing stinted in the making: 2023 hand-crushed in small bins, 24 months aged 300L barrel, 60% new, then cask selected. Glossy red fruit scented with sweet spice, & the palate doesn’t disappoint either. Supple tannins, streamlined body, everything in harmony, yet given built in musculature for ageing. Lots of class & value.”
