About GlenWood Vineyards
After a long drive along an old gravel track, GlenWood reveals itself as the hidden gem of Franschhoek. Located in the little-known valley of Robertsvlei, the farm is surrounded by aspects of outstanding natural beauty.
Established as a wine farm in 1984, GlenWood has been developed under the watchful eye of DP Burger, Cellarmaster and General Manager from the early beginning. DP strives for perfection in his wine making, and with his Glenwood Chardonnay Vignerons Selection picking up Decanter Gold Medals in past years he is not far off. Using new French Oak as well as toasted barrels, his understanding of cooperage is second to none.
“Simple, natural, quality” is the philosophy at GlenWood, with Quality taking centre-stage in the past year. The focus has been on the continuous improvement of all processes across the farm, cellar and Tasting Room to deliver products and services which exceed customers’ expectations.

Synergy between soul and soil as Gary and Kathy’s Jordan Wine Estate’s philosophy is carried through the service and food at High Timber
