“Waterford buy old-vine fruit from sites in Bottelary and Devon Valley to make this OVP Chenin Blanc. Fermented in a combination of concrete and old wood, it’s a textured, pithy, elegant white with good structure and flavours of greengage, pear and what Mark Le Roux calls a ‘positive bitterness'”

“Drops ‘Stellenbosch’ from name in 2019. From 3 old vineyards (1966, 1972, 1984), fermented/aged in concrete ‘egg’ & old barrels. Charms with elegant intensity & purity. Quince, stonefruit & honeyed almond; rich breadth & texture, drawn into elegant harmony by thread of acidity.”
