(1 review)

Stellenbosch Vineyards are a leading producer and exporter, based in Stellenbosch; they have received a huge amount of international and domestic acclaim for their range of wines.

They operate as a negociant, sourcing their grapes from only the best locations across the Western Cape.

Hand-picked fruit is crushed in whole-bunches and fermented in stainless steel, before undergoing malolactic fermentation in French oak, and then being aged for 16 months.

Expect vibrant notes of blackcurrant, plum, cherry and vanilla, with soft integrated tannins and a good finish.

Barrel selection was done to ensure the complexity and balance of the final wine. Winemaker’s Comments: This is a modern styled Cabernet Sauvignon that shows elegance and finesse. The nose shows a vibrant profusion of blackcurrant and cherry. The palate shows floral notes reminiscent of jasmine shrubs. The finish is complex with rich floral flavours and soft yet lingering tannins that speak of longevity. Maturation Potential: The wine is ready to drink now but will mature further for 7 years.

Food Pairing:
This wine will pair well with most red meats or poultry and is an ideal match for spicy curries. Serve at a cool room temperature.

A touch riper in 2020, with more oak (30% new, 16 months) rounding off cab’s leafy greener tone. Balanced & fresh, just enough tannin grip for enjoyment over the next few years.
